Henry Ellis-Paul is a 24-year-old British-born product designer who is currently based in London.
He has previously worked designing packaging, toys and lighting, and believes that an understanding of different areas of the industry helps him maintain a healthy approach to his work. Henry is particularly interested in products that challenge convention while not compromising on functionality. Creating designs that have character is important and something he likes to achieve in his work. This is Henry’s first time exhibiting at DesignersBlock; he will be showing his new furniture, ‘Stripped’, and his first range of greeting cards, ‘Short & Sweet’.
Stripped is a modular product that can be set up into various arrangements of seats and armrests. The simplicity of the design means the furniture can be regularly and easily moved, altered or added-to to fit the space itís in, as well as the activities that surround it.
‘Short & Sweet’
The Short & Sweet card range consists of eight unique designs printed on a smooth, white, uncoated paper made from mixed sources of well-managed forests and recycled wood/fibre.
Designersblock London 2009 takes place during the London Design Festival over 5000 square meters of space alongside 100% Design in Earls Court One.
