Rebecca Otero and Ninette van Kamp, are Tactile Wonderland. They are an interior textiles consultancy that produces site specific, bespoke and handcrafted pieces.
After meeting in Brighton in 2000 they went on to graduate from Central Saint Martins, London, in 2007 with a Masters in Design for Textile Futures. They combine their backgrounds in fine art and lingerie, to explore the interaction between the product and the user through the medium of textiles and surfaces. Using traditional textile techniques and laser cut detailing, they create handcrafted wall surfaces made from luxurious silks, delicate Japanese ‘Washi’ paper, sustainable non woven wall coverings and wood veneering.

The handcrafted wall-couture on show at 100% Design is available on a made to order basis. Projects include hotel, boutique shop and domestic interiors. The bespoke designs can be customised or created according to project specifications.
