If one defines architecture as a critical activity, Models like process, having equal validity as implemented works.

Collective Paper Aesthetics is a civic game in design models; reloading Buckminster Fuller Octet-truss patent to a series of explorations in objects, space and experience. Everyone can play.

…On the contrary to a Blanc reference point this project is starting with a print error. From each A4 paper three elements are produced:
Toy* is a play for mathematically challenged people,
Dust* is a creative puzzling in randomness &
Frame* is an edge to store your special moments


Collective Paper Aesthetics was first introduced in London Festival of Architecture 2008, to participate in Dutch design week under roof, at Amsterdam museum night, in [d3] design talents, during Salone Internazionale del Mobile, and Copenhagen SHOWHOW through Thanks to Mr. Torsten Herbst from Collective Paper Aesthetics building blocks are produced on-site, using EPILOG laser engraver.

Playing with Collective Paper Aesthetics this year lead to developing A collection of A4 size products titled Toy*, Dust* and Frame* which is in production. The A3 series titled Christmas Forest* is incorporating lighting device and Game board Earth* will be launch soon to the market. A limited edition for sale first introduced in Copenhagen SHOWHOW, September 2009. Simply take a tour around the room in your mind, fold and un-fold it, puzzle it and frame your special moments. The known and the unknown are visualized from one same yet different pre-cycled building block. Everyone can play.

Noa Haim (Jerusalem, 1975) has a master of advanced architecture and is a designer, a journalist and contributing editor, based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. She graduated The Berlage Institute (2004) with a thesis title: Vertical Kibbutz published in Emerging Technologies and Housing Prototypes 2007 Black dog publishers.
In her work though various International architectural firms; M. Fuksas (Rome) Monolab (Rotterdam) Jose Maria Torres Nadal (Murcia), Altoon + Porter (Amsterdam) and VHP (Rotterdam), she specialized in the field of Mixed-use and urban strategies.

During the last year she translated her graduation work into a series of art installations/ civic games and a collection of products. Her work was exhibited in London festival of architecture (2008), Dutch Design Week, Eindhoven (2008), Architecture Centrum Amsterdam (2008), imm Cologne (2009) Triennale Bovisa, Milan (2009) and DMY, Berlin (2009). Noa has continuously been developing her own projects and worked on several studies and competitions in collaboration with Arquitecturas Torres Nadal, Adi Sagie and Nir Goldberg.

‘ Shopping is a unit based feeling’ is the title of her lecture given in Holon Institute for Technological Education, School of Design to lecture at a departmental seminar day.

Designersblock London 2009 takes place during the London Design Festival over 5000 square meters of space alongside 100% Design in Earls Court One.
