Cristiana Ionescu - The Three Bears

The Three Bears

The Three Bears are designed as furniture for children.

Father Bear, Mother Bear and Baby Bear, can be nested and children can sit on top or crawl underneath. Felt is used as a sustainable material with soft and natural qualities. The shape is held together with metal rods.

We were delighted to be invited to the Vitra showroom in Clerkenwell to see the unveiling of a new piece from our friend Cristiana Ionescu who exhibited with us at the Bargehouse back in September and caused quite a stir at the interiors show in Birmingham last month. Read More…

KithKin - Yellow Smoke

We first worked with KithKin back in 2007 when they took part in the 3rd show we produced at the Nicholls & Clarke Building in Bishopsgate. They sent us this lovely negative record. We then went on to to work with them in Tokyo, Birmingham and Milan in Both 2008 and 2009 when they produced the wonderful Working Title daily newspaper. They also completed one of the seven windows we produced for Selfridges during the design festival in 2008. Read More…

Laura Perryman Constructlight

Laura Perryman presents Construct lights exclusively with Designersblock at interiors 2011.

The lights utilise re-worked, plywood, plastic and aluminium into new exciting material combinations. Re-configuring the same shape to create multiple conclusions and light forms, laser cutting is deployed to limit wastage and create an economical conclusion.

Surface pattern is used selectively and functionally to enhance the diffusion of light in certain areas.

The clusters explore new structure and connecting surface systems causing inadvertent surfaces, shapes and patterns to appear.
