As part of Safgos Studio, Eleanor Ross will be showing at Designersblock 2011.
Eleanor graduated in 2009 from Chelsea College of Art and Design, and since then has been involved in a variety of projects. Ranging from a documentary about fast fashion, where Eleanor had to work in a sweat shop. To most notably the winner of a national design competition in August 2010.
The Prize for the competition was to design a collection of interior accessories. The collection was debuted at Maison et Objet in January 2011. Since it has been to LCFF in New York, a pop up shop in Harrods and now has many international stockists. The competition was judged by a panel of industry specialists including WGSN, Wallpaper Magazine, Heal’s and Chelsea College of Art.
Due to the success of the interiors project Eleanor has now launched her own interior textile collection.
The Inspiration for Eleanor’s work normally starts with photography and drawings of everyday life and experiences. She is particularly interested in experimenting with new techniques and processes. Making each of Eleanor’s pieces truly unique adding something different, new and exciting to your home.
