Revamp your old furniture - Out of the Dark workshop

Designersblock are pleased to welcome the Out of the Dark workshop team to the London Design Festival 2012. The Out of the Dark takes donated second-hand furniture and crafts, restores, and revamps them with the help of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, teaching them valuable practical and business skills along the way. Out of the Dark’s aim is to respect old classics while breathing new life and splashes of vibrant colour to bring old furniture into the here and now. During the workshop, Out of the Dark will give an overview of their practise and share simple skills from cleaning, sanding, painting, waxing and varnishing so you can revamp old furniture.
