Evrydiki is a London based jewellery and accessory designer exploring the concepts of sustainability, up-cycling and ethical production within the context of her practice. She thinks of herself as a designer of wearable sculpture.
Her aim is to show jewellery as an adornment, which instils power and confidence to the wearer.
Deconstruction – construction, new materials – found objects, old beads – vintage findings make an important part of her practice. Materials research and crafting techniques influence her approach to design. Furthermore the design process is nourished by her curiosity and desire to understand how far materials can be manipulated.
This new collection of neckpieces draws influences from the Renaissance portraits of noblemen and offers multiple possibilities of styling to the wearer. They can be worn as whole statement pieces or then by detaching the upper piece from the chains each component can be styled by itself.
All artefacts are handcrafted using traditional leatherworking, textile and jewellery techniques. Using already worked material implements less waste consumption and also nothing during the design and making process conferred harm to the environment. Vicky believes in timeless design combined with responsible sourcing and consumer lifestyle engagement.
