Modis et Amminiculum is an on going project which explores relationships between form and function in design, language and nature. Within that project, Jennifer Crouch has been drawing in the Dissecting Room at St George’s University to get inspiration for her ceramic pieces.
The bodies she has drawn were donated for anatomical examination under the Human Tissue Act (2004) and consent for images to be taken was given. Such a rare opportunity, not only for herself but especially for medical students is a great privilege.
The utmost care and respect is given at all times in the Dissection Room, and all who attend and teach at Saint Georges are sincerely grateful for the generosity of donors and their families.
