Giedre Vadeike's wearable sculptures

Giedre Vadeike Wearable Sculpture

Giedre creates unconventional, contemporary one-off jewellery pieces and sculptural objects. Organic, unusual forms have strong allusion to psychoanalysis. In her work designer combines metal, resin, ceramic and silicone to create diverse sensations of touch. Giedre`s wearable sculptures can inflict slight pain, wake you up, calm you down or just give piece of mind by comfortably twining around your neck, wrist or finger

In uncertain or unknown situations each of us tries to hold on to something that is close to them and calms by touch.¬†Giedre’s aim is to create wearable organic sculptures as objects to comfort, as invisible defence against anxiety for those who feel vulnerable.
