POP:EYE is a sustainable experimental project based on recycled cardboard design.

Cardboard spectacles are the result of a provocative challenge and a recycling process which generates genuine and unique objects.

At the beginning, cardboard reels were recycled to produce the original frames. Recycled metal components were used.

Following a process of experimentation and research each part of the product was then developed using cardboard. Screws are the only metal components used for hinges. As an alternative, POP:EYE spectacles can be produced with PVC hinges.

The result is a comfortable and light frame covered with a natural waterproof layer which does not interfere with the original texture.

Both fixed and removable lenses spectacles are produced using a unique technology.

POP:EYE spectacles can be customised. They can be branded with logos, patterns and colours defined by clients.

POP:EYE spectacles come with cases produced with cellulose insole – a material particularly used in the shoe making industry – which, as the spectacles frames, can be customised and adapted to clients’ needs.
