The most established and long running collective showcase for independent designers in Milan featuring furniture, lighting, product, textiles, jewelry, architecture, service design, interactive design and new concepts. Now in it’s 16th year.
Located on Via Tortona, the busiest area of the Design Week and the original city zone.
BASE is Milan’s new hybrid centre for culture and creativity. BASE took over the Ex-Ansaldo buildings on Via Tortona in 2015. Designersblock Milan 2016 will take place over 500 square metres of space within the BASE building on Via Tortona. BASE has a footprint of 7,000 square metres. The building is a former industrial facility set over four floors. BASE is in a 3.5 hectare complex which includes MUDEC the new Museum of Cultures housed in a magnificent building designed by David Chipperfield Architects.
During the Design Week BASE will also host a major exhibition from the prestigious Triennale di Milano called, ‘XX1 Design after Design.’

As an organisation we work intensively with exhibitors on their preparation for the event. We are able to advise on marketing strategies, promotional material, presentation of work, pricing, communication and follow up. We also offer ongoing support and advice after the event.
For designers taking part in a Designersblock event provides invaluable live experience of all sectors and levels of the design industry.
During the show exhibitors will benefit from sharing a space with experienced design professionals from around the world and access to an audience built up from our experience of producing 150 major design events in 11 countries over 19 years involving over 3500 designers from 34 nations.
