The Architecture
Foundation

Hot on the heels of his Venice Biennale debut, Japanese architect Akihisa Hirata’s first solo exhibition will be shown at The Architecture Foundation. Interested in creating simple and elegant geometric solutions that emulate and abstract nature's interwoven tangle - Hirata sees architecture and ecology as a complex, interwoven tangle. His designs rigorously explore future possibilities for architecture and structure. A lecture by Akihisa Hirata has been programmed in response the exhibition, taking place on Tuesday 18 September at the Bloomberg Auditorium (Finsbury Square, London, EC2A 1PQ)
