Designersblock 2016 will take place at BASE.
BASE is Milan’s new hybrid centre for culture and creativity. BASE took over the Ex-Ansaldo buildings on Via Tortona in 2015. Designersblock Milan 2016 will take place over 500 square metres of space within the BASE building on Via Tortona. BASE has a footprint of 7,000 square metres. The building is a former industrial facility set over four floors. BASE is in a 3.5 hectare complex which includes MUDEC the new Museum of Cultures housed in a magnificent building designed by David Chipperfield Architects.

We have 16 years experience of putting together major group exhibitions in Milano during Salone del Mobile establishing excellent links with the Italian design community. We have provided opportunities in Milano to over 850 creative entrepreneurs from 31 nations during this period, helping to develop careers, business relationships, communicate with global audiences and bring greater awareness of opportunities in the sector. Our Milano shows have attracted audiences of over 80,000 people. They cover all disciplines of design and typically feature 80 – 100 UK, International and Italian designers, companies, and creatives.
Highlights include shows at Romeo Gigli Studios, various venues in north west Milan in collaboration with Consolo Produzione, a week of nights at Il sotto Marino Giallo turning a long forgotten club into a top and prosperous milanese destination and a residence at Piscina Argelati, Milanos favourite open air swimming pool, which ended in a legendary party for 3000 people. Designersblock 2013 to place at OCA, Officine Creative Ansaldo, a venue in the heart of Tortona the original and busiest design district in Milan attracting 80,000 visitors over the course of 6 days.
